The Lessee agrees to comply with these terms and conditions when purchasing products and services from the online service of JL-Piipariset Oy, trading as Saunalautta Sisu.
Ordering
General terms and conditions
The prices shown on the online service are subject to VAT.
Dynamic pricing is used for accommodation. Prices depend on the time of day and vary from month to month, week to week and day to day.We sell to adult individuals and corporate customers.
Products are sold to adult individuals and corporate customers.
The provider reserves the right to change prices.
The hirer is responsible for the accuracy of the information provided.
The service provider reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of supply. The hirer must consult the current terms and conditions before placing an order.
Booking conditions
These conditions apply to the products and services to be rented and booked. Collectively, these are referred to as the "item".
Booking
It is the responsibility of the hirer to read the description, instructions and conditions of the item before booking.
The booking is binding once the order/payment confirmation has been sent to the email address provided by the hirer.
The hirer pays for the booking in accordance with the terms and conditions of the payment method chosen by the hirer.
The booking system will send the confirmation by e-mail.
The service provider is not responsible for an unsuccessful booking; the hirer must contact the service provider without delay to rectify the situation.
The Service Provider does not guarantee the availability of the item in such a situation. In case of unavailability, the payment will be refunded.
Cancellations and changes
The cancellation date is the date on which the Service Provider is informed of the cancellation.
It is the responsibility of the hirer to ensure that the cancellation is sent in good time.
Cancellation conditions:
When there are 8 days or more before the start of the reservation, the reservation can be cancelled without any costs.
For bookings of less than 7-4 days but 4 days or more, 50% of the rental price will be charged.
For bookings less than 4 days before the start of the rental period, the full rental price will be charged.
The cancellation conditions also apply to any additional services.
For properties booked with a discount code, the full rental price will always be charged, regardless of the date of cancellation.
Transfer conditions:
Transfer possible only once for justified reasons, e.g. illness of the client.
Transfer must be made at least 8 days before the start of the original booking.
If the transferred reservation is cancelled, the full rental fee will always be charged, regardless of the date of cancellation.
Right of the service provider to cancel the booking
In the event of force majeure, the service provider may terminate the rental contract. The customer who has rented the accommodation will be informed of the cancellation without delay. The rent paid will be refunded to the hirer.
No other costs will be reimbursed.
If the wind exceeds 8 m/s, the captain will assess whether the cruise can go ahead. If not, the ferry will be hired at the pier.
The service provider has the right to terminate the rental agreement if it becomes apparent that the hirer is in material breach of this agreement.
The service provider has the right to suspend the rental for safety reasons or in case of intoxication. The staff also has the right to refuse to take an excessively intoxicated person on a cruise or to let him/her on the ferry. The use of non-alcoholic intoxicants on the ferry is prohibited. This does not entitle you to compensation.
Right of the hirer to terminate the contract
The hirer has the right to terminate the contract if the service provider is in material breach of the terms of the contract and does not remedy the breach within a reasonable time.
Check-in and start of the reservation
Instructions will be sent to the hirer in the payment confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, the hirer will always be received on the ferry. This also applies to accommodation bookings. The hirer will be given instructions on use and safety.
Obligations of the service provider
The service provider shall hand over the site at the agreed time, place and in good condition and provide adequate guidance.
Use of the site
The hirer uses the site at his own risk.
The object is defined in the object description. The rental price includes the said service, such as cruise or accommodation, as well as the right of the company or person and his/her party to use the sailing platform in accordance with the agreement and the boat and accommodation equipment as specified in the equipment list. Other ancillary services shall be agreed separately.
The hirer must check the condition, equipment and functionality of the property on receipt. Any deficiencies must be reported immediately to the vendor. If no defects are reported, the lessee shall be deemed to have accepted the property in good condition at the time of delivery.
The hirer may not carry out repairs, alterations, "tune-ups", maintenance or similar work on his/her own initiative on the sauna rental without the express permission of the service provider. If necessary, the service provider may, at his discretion, authorise the hirer to carry out specific work, checks or the like on request if the need arises.
The hirer shall keep the premises tidy and ensure the removal of waste during and at the end of the rental period. There is a drop-off point for the customer's rubbish in the harbour area.
The rental includes the usual final cleaning, including arranging the goods, vacuuming and wiping the surfaces. Any work that deviates from normal cleaning, such as cleaning up vomit, disposing of cigarette smoke, etc., will be charged according to the time spent and the hourly rate (60e/h), plus the cost of hiring any special cleaning equipment, such as a textile or steam cleaner, ozonator, etc. Billing minimum 1h.
The site is at the customer's disposal during the period specified in the site description.
If the sauna platform is left unattended, the raft and the pier gate must be locked.
Smoking inside the boat is forbidden and if smoking is allowed near the doors, the doors must be closed to prevent smoke from entering the ferry. A separate storage container is provided for tobacco butts.
There is a wood-fired sauna on the board. The sauna must not be overheated. Separate controls are provided for the use of the sauna. The hirer is responsible for the heating and safety of the sauna when there are no staff on board. No extra material, such as clothes, may be left in the sauna near the heater.
No extra lights, such as candles, may be lit on the raft.
If the hirer notices any defects, faults, abnormal operation, damage, theft, vandalism or anything else of note, he must immediately inform the service provider in order to prevent further damage. Theft or vandalism must also be reported immediately to the police. Upon receipt of the report, the service provider shall give instructions to the hirer and inform him of the measures to be taken as a result of the incident.
In the event of damage, the hirer must immediately take the measures indicated by the service provider.
Pets. Guests are not allowed to bring pets on the ferry; however, the ferry is not allergy-free.
Special conditions for rental equipment
All equipment and fittings are used at the customer's own risk.
The equipment is used in accordance with the instructions.
The equipment may not be handed over to a third party.
The equipment must be returned in its original condition.
The hirer is liable for damage and loss up to the replacement value.
The service provider is responsible for normal wear and tear.
For SUP boats, the customer declares that he/she is a competent swimmer and that he/she will use the life jackets provided on board, if necessary, to ensure his/her own safety.
Damage compensation
The renter is liable for any damage caused by himself or his party.
The hirer is responsible for ensuring that all persons on board follow the safety instructions given. The service provider has the right to suspend the rental immediately if the instructions are not followed.
In the event of damage caused by intentional or grossly negligent behaviour, the hirer is liable for the full amount of the damage plus 20% handling and administration costs.
The service provider will not be liable for any damage or expenses caused to the customer by natural conditions such as insects, animals or unexpected weather variations.
The liability of the trader in all circumstances is limited to a maximum of the rent paid by the customer. The trader is not liable for indirect damages such as loss of income, loss of travel expenses or other indirect costs.
Insurance
The service provider has valid liability insurance. The hirer is advised to check his/her own insurance cover and to obtain accident or travel insurance if necessary.
Disputes concerning the contract
These terms and conditions are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes that may arise will be settled primarily by negotiation. If the customer and the trader cannot reach an agreement, the customer may refer the dispute to the Consumer Complaints Board. If no solution can be reached, the dispute will be settled by the South Karelia District Court, unless consumer protection legislation provides otherwise.
Terms of delivery
Conclusion of the contract
The contract is concluded when the order is confirmed and the confirmation is sent by e-mail.
Terms of payment
The Service Provider shall use reliable and secure means of payment for its services.
Payment card details are not stored.
The Customer undertakes to comply with the terms and conditions of the payment method chosen.
Payment by invoice
The invoice must be paid by the due date indicated on the invoice.
Invoices paid after the due date are always subject to late payment charges. If the invoice is paid after the due date on the original invoice and late payment charges have already been incurred, the charges will be invoiced separately.
If the payment transaction has not been successfully completed at the time of the order, the Provider will not process the order.
